dude, the reason people dont use linux is not because of the UI, but because it doesn't support certain vital programs to their needs. Especially in Linux UI is the least of my problems. i can do whatever i want with it, but ableton( tons of vsts) ,photoshop,premiere,reason,(and games) is my reason i put up with win.

None of the Ubuntu spinoffs are actually light it's a stupid meme.
They don't boot faster, programs don't launch quicker, nothing you do on it uses less CPU.
A shitty middle ground solution that is neither quick nor nice to use. Even Windows XP still trumps them in every metric except security.

You want light look at something actually made to be lightweight.
You want a Windows replacement look at Mint, it's almost like an upgrade over Windows.
