Ok guys i need a bit of help.
I am having some issues with my new phone (pic related) running android 6.0
I was on an lg optimus f6 runing android 4.1.2
My issue is that i cant install apps to the sd card.
I did some googling and found that android 6.0 has the ability to format a micro sd card to be used as internal storage. But it has to be a high speed sd card. I checked to make sure the 32 gig card i got was indeed a high speed card.
It is a wintech filemate 33 gig card with the logos printed on it to certify it as high speed.
The issue is when i plugged it in the phone said jack shit to me about it except that a card had been plugged in. I navigated to the card in settings and formatted it. The guide online said i clshould be given the option to have it formatted into internal system memory. But the option never showed up.
The lgk10 i have is purchased from amazon as an unlocked phone. I am using it on the metropcs network.
Can you help me? Is my sd card lieing to me and do i need to go out and get one from a reputable brand?
Thank you in advance for any help or advice you can give.

Is there any reason to get a pay-monthly contract these days? Also is there a point to the one plus 3, is it worth blowing half my (students) pay on it? My laptop doesn't even have 6gigs of ram in it. Does this kind of processing power have any use in phones anyways or is it just for the same kind of retard who buys a 3000$ gaming PC and plays in 4k.

My Galaxy S3 is starting show its age. Ideally I'd get the exact same phone but more powerful. But since that's obviously not possible, I'd like to find the next closest thing, including size.

I don't use my phone for a whole lot, and I live in a fairly rural setting where 3/4G reception is the exception rather than the rule. I use it to check email when I'm not home, see the weather forecast, shitpost, and I'd like to play Pokemon Go but my S3 doesn't meet the minimum requirements. My only real stipulation is that it must have a removable battery. That is a principle of mine and I refuse to budge on that.

My carrier is Verizon. Assume that budget is not an issue.
>>
Z3 Compact, Z5 Compact or Z5? I would go for the Z5 if it wasnt because i ocassionally see people posting how the Z3 Compact is the best phone sony has made so far and how the Z5 Compact is better than the Z5 even though its a compact version of it.

Battery life in the Note 4 was fantastic.

A BYOD plan on Telus corporate is $60/mo for unlimited nationwide calling and 2.5GB of data. Currently I'm on a $70/mo plan for the same thing but got my S5 really subsidised. If I got the same plan again, I'd have to pay 500 upfront for an S7 Edge (new activations are 100), which I'm not inclined to do - hence why I'd rather just put that 500 to the entire cost of the device and go with the cheaper plan.

The Note 4 is pretty comparable to my S5. It doesn't make sense to go with the Nexus though - the total cost for the 64GB version would be too close to the Edge for me to bother.

>If requesting purchasing advice, please provide your country and what carrier you will be using it with, along with wanted features, budget and size.

England.
I want to say giffgaff, but my knowledge of phones is 15+ years out of date so I'm not sure what would be best.
Desired features:
Ability to very rarely make calls while out & about.
Ability to check the internet rarely for information (never music, probably never videos)
Ability to play Pokemon Go well (this is the main motive in letting myself be dragged into the 21st century)
Good enough internet to properly support Pokemon Go.
Waterproof enough to survive the average English weather.
I have no idea about the budget but less is generally preferred.
No idea what size entails.

Is there anything that suits my needs?

Oukitel K10000.

It's a phone that's a 10,000mAh power bank at the same time.
>>
>>55586055
Sorry but some obscure phones don't get root simply because no one bothered to find out how to root it. You may be out of luck. I'd still check XDA forums.
>>
>>55586763
I didn't find anything on XDA... Shame because it was a nice phone, at least when I bought it on 2014
>It was on sale for 80$

So i live in a country where it has all but one band supported (Australia), except that one band is used for the top 4G data speed. What is the likelyhood that ZTE will release it supporting Australia's bands?

Guys, is "data only" no calls at all? I'm also not sure if 1GB is enough for Pokemon Go.

Hey /g/ I recently bought a Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 as my first smartphone and I'm experiencing issues with the sensors, in particular the orientation and gyroscopic sensors, I'm wondering if there is a possible fix to this or if I'm experiencing faulty hardware. I bought the phone from Gearbest because UK doesn't sell these things and I've done nothing to the phone yet.

England, small town, minimal Wi-fi coverage. That, and I'd be roaming around looking for Pokemon, mostly.
>>
So is the Moto G4 actually good?
I don't care about feature shilling and / or high end games, since I'm mostly browsing or texting. Just looking for a solid phone to last me a couple of years.
>>
>>55587271
You can find a pretty good list of all the bands and how they are used on whirlpool.

You can do what I did and root/ROM your S3 to play Pokemon Go. I installed CM 12.1 and it runs the app pretty well for the most part. I would probably still rather have a new phone entirely, but now my S3 has a little more life left in it.

Another comparison of the ZTE Axon 7 against the Xiaomi Mi 5.

The Mi 5 won.

Seriously, I don't believe anything ZTE claims to do regarding the software, because compared to Xiaomi and other brands, they are small fish and don't either have the resources, nor the community behind it to make the phone better.
>>
>>55588095
Well.. the race was close enough, though.
I'd like to see the ZTE Axon 7 go against the Xiaomi Mi 5 with CM instead of the bloaded MIUI.

>>55587321
Moto e is great for emulators and shitposting, just dont expect seamless PokeGo sessions.
>>
>>55587321
I bought one from Amazon for $130. Comes with bloatware but can be easily removed/ rooted. Lots of better chinkphones out there but IMO it's good enough for the price. There's also Blu R1 HD for$50
>>
/g/ help me decide

OnePlus One 150 euro or 165 dollar
Samsung Galaxy S5 150 euro or 165 dollar
Xiaomi redmi note 2 100 euro 110 dollar

priorities: lasts long before needing recharge, doesn't need to have a spectacular screen. Solid for everyday use.

I'm currently using an old Galaxy S1 as an inbetween phone and it's struggling to load google maps, and when you're on 1 app and you get called sometimes the basic call app freezes.
