i had to RMA a stick of RAM and my CPU a few weeks back, took a few days to get replacements, and crucial was even nice enough to send it through special delivery, and CCL has been a good retailer, as they've done all my motherboard and CPU RMAs.

Yeah this stick was already causing me issues before and I RMA'd it once, seemed fine for 2-3 months but started causing blue screens again last week. Causing a hard crash every few hours. Took the stick out that I had been having problems with before and rebooted and i've not crashed in a week. So pretty sure it's the same stick as last time.

I guess it could be the DIMM slot on the motherboard, but i'm thinking more likely the RAM.

my RMAs have been for a similar issue, as since i bought my system in august, i've had hard locks, and random crashes, for almost a year, and the way i've found to reduce them is not to install the OS under UEFI, and stay with legacy BIOS, but if it crashes again the next thing to do is find a new graphics card as that's the only thing which hasn't been changed.

Man I asked about getting a rug before here and was told it wasn't needed, but I think so too. Have a bit of extra cash right now for a decent area rug, just having a hard time deciding on which one to go for. And you know, I actually bought a new desk to replace my current one that I thought would be nicer, but I ended up selling it to a buddy and going back to the current one. It's just built like a tank and weighs half a ton, so sturdy that I can't seem to get used to anything else. Keeping an eye out for an equally solid replacement though.

Not at all, I asked for input and I mean it when I say I appreciate it bro. Although acoustics are actually pretty decent here. I have a couple of studio monitors set up with the TV to the left and there's no crazy echo or anything. I think the wood above is to thank for that. But with regards aesthetics and comfort a rug is def necessary. I don't wanna skimp either, gotta find a nice cozy one. And yeah, a decent solid desk is a bit more expensive than a nice rug, so I'll be springing for that first and foremost. I've considered getting a large butcher block (350ish for a decent long one) and propping it up somehow to use as a desk, might be my next diy project.

Have you ever done anything productive on your computer? Video production, graphic design, and audio production are so much easier with a larger workspace. Also having a video open on one screen with the song you're trying to play on an instrument with the notes on the other screen is terrific. Then there's studying or doing your homework with your textbook on one screen while looking at relevant material online, keeping up with your friends/workforce on Slack open on one screen and using work software or whatever on your main screen, it goes on.

It's extremely close-minded to think people don't need multiple monitors. Alt-tabbing gets fucking old. It's slow and inefficient, and once a second monitor comes into the picture, it's primitive.
