Personally, I use a Samsung SyncMaster B2230 wich gave me 5 good years, but now I'm looking for a new main monitor for gaming (and I would use the B2230 as second monitor).

When I look up reviews, they seems like they all have problems; the colors are not good enough, the refresh rate, the bluriness... I'm currently looking up the ASUS VG248QE but the price is a little steep... Something else I should consider in the 150-250$? I don't mind the resfresh rate all that much, but i want something around 24 inchs.

I have the same one (the Asus) and I love it. Thinking about picking up two more for a triple monitor setup if they go on sale. If you want the 144Hz then that seems to be the go to monitor. Otherwise acer seller one too but at 200$

Depends on your budget and what size monitor.

Are you a poorfag? Get a couple random monitors, and some cheap VESA mounting hardware, or just plywood and screws.

Do you give a fuck about competitive shooters? if so, your only practical option boils down to a 144hz TN panel. Take your pick of any size, aspect ratio, and resolution.

If you don't give a fuck about shooters, The market of 27"+ 4k IPS display that are currently hovering at about $500.

Then there are the 21:9 ultrawides that are amazing, but the only good ones are the 34" 3440x1440 ones that cost about 1k, they're basically 27" 2k displays with more width. Comes in both curve and non-curve.

And at the very top, are the ASUS gaymeng monitors at the very very top, the unicorn level of 34" 3440x1440 @ 100Hz IPS curved with gsync. Literally all the gimmicks dumped into one monitor.

This monitor is good for 144hz I have no problem with it.

Colors do suck though being a TN. Like there is no angle I can look at this thing and not notice a color shift from one end of the monitor to the other.

I'm waiting for a 35" ultra-wide 1440p 144hz monitor.

I fell for the meme and bought a rog swift. Its pretty comfy desu, albeit expensive.

Crt is the best for gaming.

1440p 144hz ips. was like double the price of a shitty 1080p tn 144hz so i'd say it was well worth it.
