Addendum: right away the cutter tool (near the mouth) is very rough, if I had a small ceramic rod I'd sharpen it up. Not sharp cutters seems to be a standard for these cheap chink OPMTs. Normally I'd use the edge of my sharpening stone but due to how this tool is shaped i don't think it's physically possible.

The jimping along the back of the seahorse provides excellent grip for using the flathead screwdriver. This is definitely the easiest to use, most grippy flathead screwdriver I've ever seen on any OPMT, chink or no.

depends on what you want to make. Honestly so many components come as part of a module that includes any necessary caps/resistors/etc that it's almost all plug and play unless you're playing with things like LEDs. Could get one of those starter kits which gives you a little bit of a lot of stuff.

get a couple different arduino models. An uno, mega, pro micro, nano, a nodemcu or two (because "arduino with built in wifi" is boss)

get some servos. Just go nuts, senpai.
