Which is better on limited hardware and why?
The limit is cpu performance, not RAM.
What are some other alternatives out there? I don't care how obscure it is, as long as it looks pretty.
Bump
LXQt
heres a fusion theme for openbox for you https://gist.githubusercontent.com/ubone/a6ab397d34538d70e490/raw/063cf199a9e86247174022f320eefe4cb735eb32/themerc
just use i3. might take a few days to get used to thr shortcuts but its so much easier and tiling is handy for low res screens
>>55534079
because
openbox is flexible
its easy to set qt look
is slim af
>>55532974
Lxqt.
>>55532974
>LXQT
Just use pure Openbox.
>>55534164
>Tiling WM used outside of work machines
Stop this meme
>>55532974
I3wm for tiling
Openbox for stacking
fuck DEs they are literally useless
Is lqxqt even stable? It's been in beta like 3 years. I tried in arch some time ago and was a very miserable experience, there is no reason to use itover plasma.

Plasma is a bloated piece of shit.
I use cinnamon on a first gen i3 330m and it is completely responsive. No noticeable difference on processor load from xfce or mate in my experience.

What's the difference between lxqt and razorqt?
I've been out of it for a while, what exactly is LXQT?
LXDE fork?
Why is linux always so ugly looking
If you have 2gb+ ram then don't use either, just go with Ubuntu mainline
If you have less than that, use xubuntu, mate and lxqt are both shit
>>55532974
lxqt for perfomance and mate for the looks and being lazy to customize.
Best choice would be a minimal wm though
>>55540000
It seems that it's just LXDE with GTK+ stuff replaced with qt, so it's shit.
Nice digits btw.
