Hey /g/.
First time putting together a build and wanted some opinion on how I can improve.
Purpose of the build is running GPU and CPU intensive software as I'm not into gaymen that much (only play CSGO or Pay day once in a while).
Chose the 2011-3 socket because I want it to be future proof. Going to use the external monitors I already have.
Thanks
Bump plz

A good air cooler is better than a cheap shit liquid cooler.
Also,
>$150 on RAM
Find a CPU you want on Microcenter with $90 off and then ask Best Buy to price match you. I did this and I am happy to still have the $90.
Listen to >>55516224. The 212 evo is rlly all you need.
RAM DOES NOT mater. Get cheapest you can. Your MB is absurdly overpriced.
I rec getting the 850 PRO SSD at the lowest capacity. You already have good secondary storage.
Don't know why you need expensive wifi adapter. Vid card looks expensive too, you don't even gayme.
>>55516334
fuck off kike, none of us would ever stoop that low just for 90 shekels.
>>55516434
>saving money is a jewish conspiracy
Oh that's funny, I thought you said corporations are all run by shady hand-rubbing Jews before?
It's their company policy to price check, so why not? Printing off a web page of another stores price for a product or showing the clerk the site on your pone is not stooping to anything. You already choose the lowest price availabele among competing products.

Thanks.
Are the G.skill rams any good? Never heard of em.
Is the 390 a lot of performance downgrade from the 1070?
>>55516224
Any recommendations?
>>55516334
The 2011-3 MBs are generally more expensive but they're more future proof so I don't mind paying a little more..
The wifi is because I wouldn't probably have LAN access all the time since the router is in the living room. Only plan on plugging in for when I need low latency.
>>55516434
Eh. $90 is like 5 hrs of my work. Would rather save than give it to Shekelberg

>The 2011-3 MBs are generally more expensive but they're more future proof
How so? Really curious.
I really, really don't think there is a real difference in wifi routers. If you have something tangible to show otherwise I'd like to see. My wifi is in the kitchen and I get 2MB/second down.
I have a
TP-Link TL-WDN4800 PCI-Express x1 802.11a/b/g/n Wi-Fi Adapter
I will go run two quick tests to compare my wifi to ethernet

What does /g/ think of my budget build?
>>55515782
Jesus Christ what a waste of money
>>55516518
>>55516485
16.89mbps for wired and 15.34 for wireless
both fluctuate a bit if you make repeat tests
>>55516485
G.skill, Kingston and corsair are the most common brands, but any RAM with a lifetime warranty is good, just get the cheapest.
What kind of work are you going to do? Even a 750ti is enough in some cases if you're not gaming.
>>55516594
Thanks for running the test. I'm more concerned with latency, than downlink speed. I get 65 on both wired and wireless.
>>55516650
Cool. Work is more like video and image processing. But I would once in a while playing games on it too. I don't mind if it doesn't run 1 or 2 of the games smoothly out of like probably 10 games i'd be playing on it in its lifetime.
>>55516558
Its shit

>>55516798
Shit man, I didn't mean THAT budget. Will that thing actually run?
>>55516518
>How so? Really curious.
Let's say the future is moar cores. 2011-3 has up to 20 cores. Actually maybe even more than that, but I know 20 for sure.
>>55516815
Lol wut it has a better GPU and CPU you can go ahead and add 8 GiGs of RAM if you want but it will still outperform it with 4
>>55516853
Minutely faster CPU, but for what I'll be using it for, I'll take more cores an a slightly slower processor. Same for the GPU: I don't want bleeding edge shit; I don't nitpick. I'll take a slight performance cut for something with favorable reviews and an actual listing.
>>55516900
Its cheaper and slightly better
>favorable reviews and actual listing

xBOSS scores are not unbiased, use userbenchmark or passmark
>>55517065
OK but 3% difference is meh

Anyway I need to sleep. If the thread is alive in the morning we will pick this back up
everything about your build is shit.
you don't need a cpu nearly that expensive
a 30 dollar air cooler will perform the same or better than that 120mm close loop cooler
$300 is too much for a motherboard, try $100
you don't need 32gb of ram, you need 8 and you don't need overpriced memory from corsair
dont need 750W psu
