I'm running version 4.6 of Linux.
>>55485781
Then why's it just called Arch Linux and not Arch GNU/Linux?
>>55485801
Because that's what they decided to name their GNU/Linux distribution.
>>55485765
4.6.3
>>55485765
4.6 Arch GNU/Linux
>>55485765
There's usually an independently developed kernel specifically for the operating systems. GNU's core libs and shell utils are pretty much all the same.
Linux x86_64 4.4.8-hardened-r1
$ uname --kernel-name; uname --kernel-version
Linux
#1 SMP Fri Jun 24 21:35:25 CEST 2016
