Damn Son, I have almost the same setup
>>55407334
Is this for infinity?
>>55406477
whats so unique about this? looks like an average gaymer-pc except you picked a xeon out of the trash instead of buying a housefire amd "eight core" cpu that eats power and has muh big numbers but still sucks
>>55407469
It is a dirt cheap 1440p build that most people don't know about because of the Xeons are not good for gaming meme.
>>55407571
not surprised
99% of gaymers are complete numbskulls when it comes to anything technology
>>55407637
What are you using this for?
less than 200$
soon to be 300$ as ive ordered a 750ti
>>55407735
Almost everything at the moment. It's great for playing older games though.
Well...here my budget rig...it's crap but it works shockingly well.
AMD Athlon 5350 oc'ed to 2.62 ghz.
EVGA gtx 750 ti also OC.
ASUS am1a m-atx mobo.
8 gig of 2100 RAM...only runs at about 2000 though...
And a rosewill hb1-3 case in addition to hdd and optical and other odds and ends
Costs a bit less than 300 all said. May not seem like much but it play about anything I throw at the lil bastard.
I'll be building a new one in the fall. A desk case mod thing me and my wife are gonna custom build, but honestly I think I'll miss the shitty little pc that could...damned thing is an over achiever.

What are you playing and FPS?
>>55406477
>>55407985
The most intensive stuff I play are 'Tera' at med-high settings and 'alien:isolation' at medium. That's the most intensive (and Tera is intensive on anything if only for being a piss poorly optimized pile of Korean dogshit) but I can run bioshock infinite at high settings and Skyrim maxed out.
FPS? No fucking clue as I don't bother with that shit...if it's not completely smooth and pleasing to my eye I adjust the damned settings. I understand an fps counter is what you have for benchmarking but for me it's either smooth and playable or it's shit.
I will say this though. With an am1 socket you either overclock the shit out of it or do not bother.

did you ever try fallout 4 on it?
> unique gaymers
Nothing unique about being gay anymore, OP
bought the mobo+memory and i5 4 years ago
monitor + gpu + one hdd is second hand bought 2 years ago
another hdd is salvaged from my old external
my case is from pentium 4 era
i could pretty much run all modern titles in low settings
A friend of mine has a dual Xeon 4k gaming server rig with 8 cores and a GTX 980 that he built for about $500.
>>55408150
Nope. I'm a bit more of a STALKER kinda guy. Very /k/ so fallouts guns drive me nuts. Only real reason I'm gonna build a new one (aside from fun diy project with the wife) is because my pc would straight up vomit if I tried metro last light on it.
>>55408222
>pentium 4 era case
my nigga
built my rig in a thinkcenter from 2005
>>55408320
I am in the same boat, my case is 15 years old, but I removed both panels and the top, the plate that the mobo rest on is thick aluminum and it gets extremely hot in cpu and northbridge area, so I am wondering if this could be hurting me with temps/overclocking or if this is just normal. I have been toying with the idea of cutting a hole in it and adding a fan.
It's not particularly beefy, but I sure do love this setup.

cozy as heck
