Was thinking about dropping the Noctua cooler since I won't need to OC / can't OC. Purpose of this build is programming, video games, a little CAD + rendering + computation. Will use Windows and will have one virtual machine running Debian. Want something powerful, small, and silent.
Please don't recommend any i5 processors since I need the hyper threading. Also, 256 GB of storage is more than enough for me. Thanks!

you might as well get rasberry pi and have the same result faggot
Go get i7 6700k
Epic, simply epic.

that's a lot of ram, but nice build overall
i don't know much about that processor, but i doubt there will be any bottlenecking
if u are using it as gaming/ workstation u might want to check out some CPU liquid coolers imo

are you retarded op
Why do you want a Xeon? Just get a 6700k. Probably gonna want an additional HD too.

6700k is $100 more. Is it really worth the .6 GHz and iGPU and higher TDP?

xeon has ECC ram and more stable and better QC too
way less crashes and cheaper for similar performance
a Xeon only makes sense in a multisocket build, dude
Get a fucking i7
>>55404763
You have no idea what you're talking about. That Xeon is on par with most i7s. It's cheaper because it doesn't have a iGPU. Go look up the specs of OPs CPU.

He said he can't OC, so is there really a point in getting an after market cooler? Maybe stock will be fine. Not sure if Xeons come with better fans than the comsumer Core CPUs though...
