Yes, a bigger userbase and therefore a bigger online support and documentation.
Basically, you can google your problem more easily.

Yes many true /g/entoomen of course use /g/entoo. But that is not really an OS for beginners. You wouldnt have to ask in the first place if you knew it is the OS you need.
