Post all that shit here. I'll start.

I need a new card and my budget is ~$200.

I'm looking at an EVGA GTX 960 and the new RX 480.
I don't do VR but I occasionally play some games with my friends. I honestly don't believe it will burn down my house but I am kind of worried about heat and a few other things people have been saying about the 480.

I don't use Windows, especially since Linux supports all of the games I play just fine, they're just unplayable with my $50 card.

Which should I get and if it's the 480 what's the shit I should look out for/get along with it, like a cooler or something.

Ok, I think I'll just stick with the 960.
Everything I've seen about the 480 is just bad news, apparently it could damage low end mobos which mine might be considered.

I'm planning a build and need help with choosing a gpu. I use my current laptop for anime, Internet, and osu. What's the cheapest gpu I can get that will

-drive two 1080p monitors
-play high quality anime and movies
-run osu better than my current gpu (i3-2350m integrated)
-run osu and obs

Also is there a way to use the gpu to speed up computing tasks? Something like this exists right?

Just received my EVGA GTX 1080 SC

For some reason it is boosting up to 1936 MHz while playing TW3. The boost clock is only 1847 MHz.

I'm not complaining but I don't understand why.
