imo elementaryOS has the best home webpage to tell you about it's OS. it is simple, clean, light, minimal, and it offers a very clear donation button which gives it a bit of class.
worst webpage HAS to go to Arch. horrible formatting, no images, doesn't tell you anything, no donate button. WAY too information-heavy. But, I guess this is a positive in a way, because it is clearly for an advanced operating system user.
linuxmint.com
gorgeous, modern design just like their default wallpaper
gentoo.org
hands down

good OS though. like their DE and vala apps, and they have a reasonably active bounty source page

Gentoo, Arch, Slackware = Functional, Simple. The kind you want
Fedora, OpenSUSE = Okay
Ubuntu, Elementary, Antergos = Meme tier, designed for turbo normies with minimum functionality in mind
Manjaro, Ubuntu forum, Mint = Top tier security
Debian = Worst in every single aspect. The sitemap is absolute garbage.
When you say elementary, you should at least mention elive too. it has a similar asthetic.
gentoo.org and funtoo.org also look really nice. funtoo especially has well written tutorials.
but my favorite is voidlinux.eu
it looks great and is nicely organized and has all the information it needs presented in a nice way.
