I don't think you'll get a lot of 1600MHz chips though, probably the ones able to hit that will be given to OC competitions and ultra high end aftermarket cards(like the ASUS 20th anniversary Golden thing)

Honestly AMD fucked up, this GPU should have only been released by AIBs, it would have gotten fantastic reviews then.
As it stands we got another r9 290 case, shit cooler but at least not a jet engine at stock speeds

all honesty, if you don't oc, the gpu is just fine.
for most people this will be the go to. especially considering 4gb is generally good enough and 1080p is the best it will do efficiently.

at 200$, a fine card for the price, and will likely get better as time goes on, hell even if the clocks never get higher then base, a 20-30% increase over lifetime isn't unprecedented and if amd gets their driver overhead sorted out, would shift the entire amd lineup up several tiers. thoug we are talking pipe dreams there, but minor improvements over time are realistic.
