More or less, even Sabayon uses Gentoo testing repos just as Ubuntu uses testing repos.
It might be a little more accurate that Sabayon is to Gentoo what Linux Mint Debian Edition is to
Debian.

Totally, but do remember that you're using testing repos and this is just as dumb like the Manjaro "delayed" repos.

Sabayon does use portage, I don't know if that was the case in the past, but it can use entropy or portage
