Hi there!

You seem to have made a bit of a mistake in your post. Luckily, the users of 4chan are always willing to help you clear this problem right up! You appear to have used a tripcode when posting, but your identity has nothing at all to do with the conversation! Whoops! You should always remember to stop using your tripcode when the thread it was used for is gone, unless another one is started! Posting with a tripcode when it isn't necessary is poor form. You should always try to post anonymously, unless your identity is absolutely vital to the post that you're making!

Now, there's no need to thank me - I'm just doing my bit to help you get used to the anonymous image-board culture!

It's a very well built watch
As a Casio guy the module is kinda weird and crappy compared to a modern casio module but for telling time it's great.
It's been 3 weeks and it's off by about .5 secs from my synced prw 3500.
Currently saving up for an engineer bracelet for mine.
I think this + a nice bracelet is a much better alternative than buying a bruan or ventura digital (if you want a steel cased digital)

Imo I would say go for the pulsar and save a bit for a gw5000. And get a gw5600E + nato adaptors as your rugged watch. Bullbars optional. Maybe a square world time (forgot model # sorry) for a more "dressy" digital.

>>
>>55290008
You can look up the etymology if you want, there's a couple possible origins. A lemon may have at one time primarily have referred to a person, someone stupid that a smarter individual could take advantage of, thereby squeezing/sucking the juice out of him.

Unpopular opinion
Solar is best option
Automatic loses too much time
Quartz stops when you need it most
movement generslly isnt as smooth in solar to dave power but i prefer it so its always charged. Also hasnt lost a second in 2 weeks.

I'm more interested in quality of craftsmanship than to-the-second timekeeping, and they don't make nice watches in solar. Or really quartz for that matter.
>>
>>55293689
Solar is quartz. You listed 3 things, 2 of them have to do with how power is generated, 1 has to do with actually how the watch keeps time.

A watch movement has four main qualities

>How power is stored - e.g., mainspring, battery
>How power is charged - e.g., manual wind, automatic, kinetic, solar, change the battery
>How time is regulated - e.g., hairspring, quartz crystal, tuning fork
>How regulation is applied to geartrain - e.g., escapement, stepper motor, magnetic induction

Hurp derp what's a good watch for me?

Rain proof but need not be diver grade water proof to over 9000 meters.
Easy to read in direct sunlight and at night without killing your nightvision.
Alarm unnecessary.
Any gauges, hands or displays apart from hours / minutes / seconds are clutter, maybe a date indicator or something.
As sturdy as possible, so it can survive me reking my motorbike.

Budget is around 50 € (Germany), maybe 100 but that's pushing it.

Rubber straps are pretty comfortable but not quite as comfortable as a NATO or Perlon. However rubber doesn't absorb water like nylon so you aren't going to have to wait for it to dry out which also means it isn't going to absorb all your sweat and get funky nasty like a NATO either.

I'm really loving it. It's a nice modest digi. Despite what some of the reviews say I actually like the stock rubber strap. It's not comfortable but it isn't uncomfortable. It doesn't really have much of a presence.

Put that shit on a bracelet and it's even better.

What the shit is this? I didn't know there were bluetooth g shocks.

Is it worth it? It supposedly shows incoming calls and stuff.

It worked when I got it.

Then it quit.

Repair man literally says to me,

>No wonder they lost, they couldn't even build a decent watch. This thing was a nightmare to work on.

Th-thanks, watch man.

And now it's broken again.

You're a faggot. Read a book.

>Obsessive–compulsive disorder (OCD) is a mental disorder where people feel the need to check things repeatedly, perform certain routines repeatedly (called "rituals"), or have certain thoughts repeatedly. People are unable to control either the thoughts or the activities.

I find a lot of watchmakers are inclined to call unfamiliar things "crap" just because they don't really know how to work on them, and it's easier to blame the watch rather than admit that quartz ETAs have formed the bulk of their client work.
