It's 3200Mhz Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4. I had some issues with the XMP profiles in my bios though. I had to manually enter the XMP settings since even though it was recognized it wouldn't apply.

Why does it seem like most people could get better timings with ddr4? Does it not make as big a deal that ddr3 did?
>>
>>55274290
Timings mean shit when your frequency is that high. 3000MHz with CL 14 is good, 3200MHz with CL 16 is good, you only get lower timings at like 2133MHz, at which point you're so slow that the timings are meaningless.
>>
>>55274309
If its not speccy fucking up I see alot of 2133 memory with the same or worse timings as my 1500 and thought they should have lower timings by default.

>>
>>55287713
How much of that ram is actually used?
>>
>>55287713
oh, my only reservation is as follows, maybe you computer nerds can lend advice.

I have 2 m.2 slots, one is 4x PCI-E and one is only 2x. Currently have a 950 Pro in the 4x slot and some shit tier one in the 2x slot. If I got another 950 Pro would there be any problems putting them in raid0 if one's in 4x and one 2x? I assume they'd just both use two lanes each but then would I get any speed benefit from the raid?

That makes more sense. I've really been in the dark these last 3 years, now that I'm learning all the new shit I realize how fast Technology is developing

But now that I have your attention, do you guys think an fx 9590 and a 970 is a decent setup? Would 650w be enough power for those components? And opinions on the MSI 970A-G43 motherboard?
>>
>>55288389
the 970 only has 3.5 GB VRAM. You need at least 8
>>
>>55288389
Yeah 650w is more than enough for that. If you haven't bought the parts yet I'd advice you to just buy a used 8350 (or wait for zen), much cheaper and runs cooler.

The Amazon page clearly states 4gb of vram

>>55288422
Well it's only 30$ difference if I buy a new one and the benchmarks give the 9590 much better results than the 8350, so I guess it would buy me more time before upgrading again?
