I've got 450CAD (ie. ~350USD) to acquire a new monitor to replace my 10 year old 16:10, its viewing angles and overall video quality is just too bad compared to even 200USD monitors today.
Just need visuals good enough for movies and a little editing, 24-27" and hopefully 1440p (or higher(doubt there's something in this price range)). Gaming is not important but might be nice.

Fuck off we don't need more generals on this board as it is.

Anyways, Dell U2415. 16:10, best IPS panel on the market in terms of color, and thin bezels. They make a 1440p version too but it will probably end up out of your budget at that point and 1080p at 24 inches is fine anyways.

So I'm setting up a Samsung 24' HDMI TV screen to use as a monitor, and while it works everything comes out grainy and sharp looking, with the text being a bit blurry

Is there a way to fix this?

I'm aware that Imgur.com will stop allowing adult images since 15th of May. I'm taking actions to backup as much data as possible.
