Can anyone help me choose a medium budget ($500 min, $800 max) gaming/animation laptop? I was going to buy a Acer Aspire e15 because of the high perrformance-price ratio but the screen is awful, or an HP Pavilion 15 but I've heard a lot of people talking shit about Pavilions and never knew why.

Yeah, they said Pavillions and HPs in general would heat up really quickly, and my old (2008) Pavillion would get so hot it would shut down, but the model is 8 years old and I hope they already fixed that.
