>TotalCommander just made a full list of all my files in 5 seconds.
>Windows Explorer takes hours to search a folder that's the least complex unless it's indexed, in which case it takes minutes.
Can someone explain this to me?

I will try it right away. I got some seriouls clean up to do in my memes.
Still, I'd like to understand why Windows is so fucking slow at searching.
Actually, Windows is slow at everything since Windows 7: Deleting files, moving files on the same filesystem, what the fuck is up with this shit?

NTFS is a shitty filesystem to begin with, the way windows manages it is even worse, file indexation is a bitch and lets keep it that way.
>>55257256
Windows XP was reasonably fast in comparison.

Yeah but windows XP diden't need the data about how many files you opened every day and what shit was run and indexed that crap to get your general habits so that the programs would show up on your task bar.
It just bloody counted the number of times you clicked an .exe and that was about it.
