i blame shitty default vlc settings that you are to retarded to change but think editing a setttings file is easier. ANd i dont even use vlc.

i usually just set video output to opengl glx and in codec settings i set vdpau for hw accel. never had any problems except of annoying shitty interface. i guess you could mess around with advanced settings for video and codecs too ,see whaddup.

hm on windows i think some directx output was better ,mess around with it. also look at the x264 settings

I never had this problem with VLC while using my desktop computer, but it consantly shit itself on laptop so I switched to MPC

desu i only got the static image blur on mpc and never used it again, i mean you can say that vlc has shitty interface or runs like shit or has bad vsync but this never ever have happened on it for me.

Process Explorer showed 60-100% of CPU usage during the OP and ED in mpv while the video itself was around 50-80%

Two parts in the OP lagged noticeably, the explosion scene and the many cellphones scene

I'm also using styled subs and jp audio
