if you consider the current events, nothing went wrong. they scammed microsoft and invested the money into infrastructure. later chinese bought the mobile division for relatively dirt cheap from microsoft and will co-operate with nokia in terms of hardware design and engineering. maybe not directly working together but the new mobile team mainly consists of the former nokia staff that got kicked out by microsoft.

first they used microsoft to cover up the losses and now they will use the labor of chinese. they are special kind of evil.
