I just replaced my side table with two media shelves for all of my movies, so that makes for several black pieces of furniture, plus my speakers, monitors, keyboard, mouse, mousepad, amp/DAC, computer case, and headphone stand. The desk looks horribly out of place now.

I'm looking at a 24"x78" desk from IKEA, only problem is they don't have it in black. My current desk is 30"x60", which is too deep by a few inches and not wide enough, so I know that size is literally perfect. Since they don't have it in true black and I already have white trim, I'll be grabbing it in white. Hoping it won't looks shitty and out of place.

I got this from my father-in-law, who had owned it for like 25 years. It's real wood, ridiculously heavy, and like 45 years old. No idea where it came from, but it's actually pretty uncomfortable.

It's 30"x60" which is definitely nice, but there are drawers underneath the front of the desk. The desk itself is 31" tall. The apron around the drawers is about six inches lower. That means that my legs have to fit comfortably under a 25" max opening, but I have to use my mouse and keyboard on top of the desk. This means my wrists are constantly at a crooked angle or my elbow right around the "funny bone" area rests on the desk edge. This has given me cubital tunnel syndrome, resulting in the third and fourth fingers on my right hand being completely numb for months now. Could need surgery.

Essentially, don't get a desk this thick because you'll never sit and type at a good angle. Don't get a desk this tall either. Get a modern desk designed with modern ergonomic sensibilities.

They will be on the lower... tabletop (that word sounds so wrong when there is more than one of them) so there is a plenty of space. Unless you're talking about vertical space which is scarce but enough. I tried putting my keyboard in 10cm space and it's plenty enough for regular typing and a little cramped for awkward shortcuts (like ctrl + alt + function key).

Can someone with multiple monitors please help me?
I'm curious if there's a way to change which screen the cursor is on with the push of an arbitrary button (such as one of my mouse side buttons).

Ex: I'm in a game and I don't want to press esc to bring up my cursor so I can go to the other screen (also blocking my view of the game). Instead, I want to press one of my mouse buttons and have my cursor switch (or cycle) through my monitors.

I know it may be better for a sqt, but I thought you guys would be more knowledgeable.

Depends what you're doing. At any one time I'll have 3 in use. Center is main obviously. Browsing, work, games etc. I have skype / whatsapp etc on right, top left normally has CCTV running, bottom left has icons and it's where I put copying or downloading dialogs, top center is for video, whether it be youtube or films etc, top right has statistics, and also where I put VM windows if I'm working on something. I use 2-3 nearly all the time, but once in a blue moon you can use 5-6 fully and it's glorious to have. Other side to it is how cheap it was to setup. Got the monitors for next to nothing.
