The only reason anybody used this shit at all was because you could boot an Xbox even on IDE HDD in 2 seconds and use it immediately. If you have to sit through a full boot up of bullshit you may as well use a regular Windows/Linux box.

I'm pretty sure my Intel NUC box with LibreELEC cold boots into Kodi as fast or faster than the old Xbox did. Boot speed was never why I was using it either.
