For the anon from last thread asking what polarised even meant, polarisation is a process where the lens are treated to block incoming glare, basically light coming directly (horizontally) at you.
Polarised sunglasses are very comfortable on the eyes because you rarely need to squint, but they do affect your vision of LCD screens etc.

This X02/A02 firmware is NOT listed on the support site.

I've flashed it to my X02 yesterday, been using it since. So far i've noticed slight UI changes, looks a little slicker. Also noticed that it seems to be reading tags better, getting titles and albums more correct that before as well as displaying more album artwork.

As far as I can tell sound quality and function is not changed.

No? Many of these can do 20A or more at 3,6V.

Yea, that's over 70W. Even if you need to do something lossy before you feed the laser, it'll work.

But just don't get a 10W laser unless you have a very serious reason to. These should only be handled by people you'd also trust to handle anti-personnel fragmentation mines (not that I like anyone using or handling these, but ... you know what I mean).

Audio is heavy on the lows and decent on the high and mid. Microphone has a bit of hiss from my tests but voice quality is clear. It's nice to have an easy access volume and play/pause button now.

Still waiting for my Sricam and have yet to plug in an ORICO PCI USB3 hub but so far, pretty satisfied with what I got.

I'm making a second measurement and how I subjectively hear them.

I really like how they sound but you have to insert them into your ears like in photos you see on google. If YOU insert them INCORRECTLY this measurement as seen here is what the bass sounds like. Piston Air sounds kinda like my LG Quadbeat 3 AKG I think. I'm not sure. Second measurement coming.

You'll have to trust subjective vocal reviews on these. I like them more than the Piston 3 but unsure about Hybrid. I think Hybrids are a little better.

Someone should ask Igor from Audiobudget if he can crack this measurement. I find it very difficult to do. I'm still trying right now though.

So I finally got around to repairing my surface pro 2. I haven't glued the screen in yet since I still need to remove the frame. It came from the factory with a screw loose under the frame and I do not have a T3 screwdriver to remove the frame. Since I have it apart, I would like to eliminate the annoying rattle. Also, I want to see if I can source a replacement since it was damaged when USPS cracked my screen. And I'm considering replacing the SSD. Any recommendations? It's a mSATA SSD but I'm also looking for a 2242 M.2 SSD for something unrelated.

Anyway, the china screen looks like NOS. The touchscreen and wacom digitizer seem to work great. I haven't tested either too much since the screen isn't secured though. The color, brightness, and contrast on it look like new. I can't really compare it to the original, but take a look. I can take more pictures if anyone wants.

Super easy repair. I just stuck a giant suction cup (like the kind designed for removing dents on car body panels) and hit it with a heat gun until the screen peeled off. Since the glass digitizer was intact when I started, the whole thing came of in one easy piece. It took me longer to peel all the old adhesive off than do anything else.

Anyone have a recommendation for a double AYY battery charger that comes with batteries? Preferably something that wont explode and fire my house.

Ok let me talk about these now that I've listened to them for a while.

Some anon said that they are close to Pistons 3s but with a bit more bass.
There's more bass than I expected from that description though. Enough bass to make me feel like vocals are too distant and drowned out when bassy pads are present.
I might just be biased because Piston 3s were my main earphones for a long while.

With that said, I definitely prefer Airs in a fair number songs. I will probably be switching between the two.

Speaking of switching, Airs are a bit of a pain to put in and I need to spend a few second making adjustments. Hopefully I'll eventually figure out how to put them in the right spot on the first try.
They press against the back part of my ear which felt a bit uncomfortable at first but I quickly got used to it. Maybe my ear is a bit too short in that direction.

I made two orders from Gearbest, one has insurance and tracking (BM-800, pop filter, and SOMAKE sound card), and another doesn't (NB-35 mic arm stand). Did this to test out if what that one Anon said was right, that you will get a tracking code without paying for insurance and tracking.

Also to test if making a dispute on PayPal is the only insurance you need.

I think. You're not supposed to fully sit/seal the ear tips in your ear canals. They're supposed to fit in your ear but not fully seal. See >>55086305.

Try wetting your ears a bit with very light saliva with your pinky then place them in your ear but don't seal the silicone ear tips. They should behave like earspeakers or earbuds. Not in-ear monitors. These should be usable for side-sleeping with.

The further I listen to these I think they sound like $3000 Shure KSE1500's a bit minus detail. Or airy like my LG Quadbeat 3 AKGs. Audition a KSE1500 right now then come back home and try the Piston Air.

Sorry if I sound autistic. But I don't want more anons receiving their Piston Airs and getting disappointed in them.. Or hating on them.

My H22 arrived today. I have a "problem" with it.

When it starts flying without using any joystick other than the "power" one, it's always tilted forward for some reason, making flight almost impossible to control.

Two things.
First, when you connect the battery make sure it's on a level surface - connecting the battery tells the gyros to initialise and determine their initial, "level" position. If it's still tilting after you're on a surface which you are sure is level try placing it on a surface tilted backwards slightly before connecting the battery.
Second, depending on how much it's tilting forward you may be able to cancel it out using the trim controls. If it's tilting forwards just hit down on the little rocker to the right of the left stick a few times.
