The rubber nubs on the side to hold the screen steady are really badly designed (or else just really poorly made) because they break off all the time. Mine has one missing and the other one the plastic bit that holds it in has chipped off so who knows when it'll fall off.

If it wasn't for the kinda crummy accuracy around the edges it'd be a god tier laptop.

Actually, Ms actually took a page from Apple's book and are actually generous about their battery times. I get 11 hours easily on mine with 33% brightness, Skylake is just really easy on the battery.

Dell on the other hand is a mass bullshitter, 12 hours advertised on the XPS 13 yet it barely lasts 7.

Lads, I unfortunately bought a Macbook air for college roughly 10 months ago. I switched major and would like to go to a windows or linux based computer for the programming classes I'll be taking next semester. Whats a simple/cheap/effective laptop I could get for programming and word processing.
