you gotta watch a lot of videos over time. Also don't EVER start with a complex daw. Ableton, Cubase, i dunno. I mean it's a good idea to try them, but I would say that if you can learn 1 like Ableton you can get the others normally. but Ableton is Backwards FL for some reason

I do not recommend LMMS, it is Ableton's and FL's retarded little brother.

FL is prolly your best bet to work with. A daw can be as complicated as you make it or as simple. It's like anything honestly. I know this girl who plays the shit out of Dark Souls and said Pokemon TCG looks complicated.
