Why is there so much brand loyalty for a company that treats their customers like criminals?

I've never been able to understand this bizarre phenomenon. Nvidia is truly an enigma.
>>
>>55031628
How do they treat their customers like criminals?
>>
Because unlike AMD, they make good products

Nvidia is for quality, AMD for cheap trash
>>
Their drivers usually work
>>
>>55031628
Is all in your head.
>>
the blatant AMD shilling is pathetic
>>
>>55031645
They just do, OK? Fuck...
>>
>>55031785
Idk man. I use a gtx680 and I don't feel like a criminal.

Because they put out awesome cases like this.

the way it's meant to be played

for the same reason the cuckold remains married to his cheating wife. he enjoys being abused or just doesn't know better
>>
>>55031628
Because they are the only option for high performance.
>>
>>55031628
When people buy some "expensive" gadget, they probably feel as if somebody is attacking them if they're saying negative things about the gadget in question.
>>
>>55031648
but amd outperforms nvidia at nearly every bracket

the only relavent bracket for nvidia is the top bracket with their 980ti type cards, which is a niche bracket to begin with. for like 90% of the gpu market, the amd side outperforms the nvidia side.

LOL NO

GTX 1070 $379 pretty much makes every AYYMD card obsolete
>>
>>55031961
are you trolling me or something
>>
>>55031922
> but muh synthetic cherrypicked benchmarks that don't consider frame times and min fps
>>
>>55031628
Because even despite all that stuff it's still better than dealing with AMD drivers.
>>
>>55031628
Nvidia is quality. The few times they've let the people down, they've admitted to it and worked to become quality again.
We're not loyal to Nvidia, Nvidia is loyal to the idea of putting out solid hardware and software. Their loyalty is respected and rewarded with purchases.
>>
>>55031628
pajeet, tell your employers to lower prices and I will buy AMD
>>
>>55031922
Since most people buying decent videocards for vidiya it doesn't matter cause 99% of them optimized for nvidia so they will work better on it regardless

To be fair, I like Nvidia because Shadowplay when I'm stream on Twitch. The AMD GVR is a joke.
>>
>>55031961
Why all the hype over the 1080 when the radeon pro duo and gtx 980ti SLI both beat it
>>
>>55032346

>Why are people excited about a 700$ card that performs well when a 1500$ card or two 600$ cards perform better?

Really makes you think.
>>
>>55031922
>but amd outperforms nvidia at nearly every bracket

maybe if you compare nvidia reference to amd's OCed rebrands and cherrypick for waiting evolved games. in the real world, nvidia shits all over amd.
>>
At least criminals get Linux drivers that don't perform at ~20-30% of their Windows equivalent I guess.
>>
>>55032423
No I'm talking about the 980ti sli dual card, But... That card only takes up 1 PCIE slot even though it's a dual card it's still more powerfull if your gonna spend that much money on a card may as well get the best, unless Nvidia are planning on making a gtx 1080ti Dual card.
>>
fucking idiots talking about because it's a dual card whatever but, the point is it only takes one slot. which means more option for your setup, and it's also good for small itx build. also gtx 1080 cost over 1k in some other countries, so it's basically same price if you sli.
>>
>>55031836
Look at that superior form. Aesthetics, you say? Straight out of an alien spaceship. Competition BTFO'd!
>>
>>55031628
>b-brand loyalty

if anything there is more brand loyalty for amd. going by the facts that nvidia hold 80% of the market share, this would mean that 8/10 people who own gpu's would be an nvidia user, so it would be normal to see more nvidia posters than amd posters. however everywhere you go, whether it be this cancerous board, shitty youtube comments, plebbit, or just random forums, amd shills outnumber nvidia shills. the real question should be,

"why is there so much brand loyalty for a company that has consistently shit out hot and inefficient products in the last few years and who blame all their mistakes and short comings on everyone else?"
>>
>>55032504
There'll be one in about 6 months.
>>
Brand recognition really, nothing else
>>
>>55032783

Well... most people don't play games at max settings or even games that are very graphically intensive so while the benchmarks tell one story about frame rates its misleading and most people can still get by on a cheap radeon 6xxx card
>>
>>55031628
Don't assume that those who point out idiocy posted by AMDrones would not also point out idiocy posted by Nvidiots.
>>
>>55031785
>They just do
>Because I say so
Okay, Mom.
>>
I hate both Nvidia and AMD but I'm used to solving the problems that I face when it comes to using Nvidia and so I don't want to switch.
>>
>>55031628
>Why is there so much brand loyalty for a company that treats their customers like criminals?
So you've never used Windows, then?
>>
>>55032110
They threatened to sue for defamation everyone involved in a potential class action lawsuit for the 3.5gb fiasco, for starters.
>>
>>55031628
They consistently deliver the best experience and their slogan "The way its meant to be played" is quite literal.
>>
>>55031822
Kill yourself. Seriously.
