use my password as usual for my Google account from a different location

Do I need to check into the botnet with my phone number or is there another way? I'm completely aware it is my fault for using Google, but I thought I can pick how much information I want to share with them. It just feels disgusting.
if you are talking about the phone number shit you can just enter nothing iirc and it will still let you pass
in general fuck jewgle
He's probably talking about this. Been getting this trash just because I have a dynamic IP and use chrome and firefox interchangeably. They really need to get rid of this shit. It seems inescapable right now.

nope, it is not the please secure your account display
it is provide your number (and receive a token) to verify it is actually me who are trying to sign in. OK, I haven't gone full tinfoil yet and have a dumb phone, but still
Also, this new "layer" of protection seems to get triggered much easier if you removed cookies recently. Somehow the system wasn't able to identify their own fucking browser just because I got rid of the cookies.

its not a bad idea to enable 2 step verification. also clearing cookies triggers it asking again for a code

>le 2 factor bullshit
I'm tired of this meme. My password is strong enough. I haven't been hacked for years. I don't need all that autism just to login into my fucking email for fuck's sake.
