Java hates ALEKS

Does anyone else need to take the ALEKS test for college calculus? This is not possible to get working.

Chrome:
>will not work so forget it

ie:
>go to download plugin, java not enabled
>java is enabled tho
>update java, ALEKS plugin blocked because signature has been expired for 10 years
>use old java to get around this security
>"Java is out of date. Either update or run anyway."
>Click Run Anyway
>sends me back two pages
>make my way back to original page
>"Java is out of date..."
>tl;dr infinite loop

Firefox:
>get furthest with this
>literally last page I need to get through just says "error try again or manually install"
>manually install
>go through installation
>literally all it added was a folder with "remove ALEKS 3.18.exe"
>plugins don't show up anywhere

S.O.S. I NEED HELP ASAP THIS IS RED ALERT I NEED THIS TO TAKE CALC AND NOW IF I DONT SOLVE IT I WILL HAVE AN ANNEURISM CALLING ALL OTHER IT WORKERS WHO ARE BETTER THAN ME
