Fucking beautiful. The wood is nice. It isn't shiny, but eggshell which really makes it nice to look at. I resurfaced my desk and coated it with a glossy poly which I kinda regret after looking at this.

Those walls are great. I painted mine a lighter gray and really want my new bedroom the same grey as yours. Your tv almost camouflaged into the wall.

I actually just bought a wood counter top at Ikea and drilled 5 of the Galant desk legs into myself. In total the desk cost about $275 ($200 for the wood and $15 per leg)

They really arent as bad as the pictures make them seem, and truth be told most of the time I have the shades drawn so there is generally 0 glare. Since they are actual glass panels the picture quality on them is amazing.

Thanks for the kind words friend, the station has undergone many iterations over the years to get to this point. The funny thing about the walls is, I thought it would be a much light grey than it was, but it ended up working it. In certain light it almost looks like a dark navy blue. The desk is super easy to make yourself and really rewarding. If you tried to buy something like it at a furniture store they would charge you x4 the price.

The legs have like 6 holes around the base. You just grab a couple of screws and insert them straight into the countertop. The whole process takes like 10 minutes.

Yes, I understand making a desk yourself is very rewarding(and very enjoyable). At most I'll resurface a used desk from one of the local used furniture stores near me. I saw a nice large executive desk going for $60, real oak and red stain, just needed a minor resurface and extra coat of poly and would look 10x it's actual cost.

I haven't been to ikea in two years. I need to see what the selection look like again. Their desk table tops made of particle board are the same combination selection my local hardware store is selling, so I didn't really bother to go 27+ miles to one again.

Here is a link to the countertop I purchased, but they have some lighter ones I entertained early on to it. Ultimately I decided the darker top had a better look/feel to it so I went with that one.

I think you could probably just make one from particle board and those precut faux wood they use on flooring, if you wanted something made 100% by hand.

I dont think I understand what you mean.

Each leg has holes pre-cut into the metal. If I remember correctly it even comes with the screws. So you just position the legs where you want them on the table, screw them straight into the counter top and BAM you're done.

You dont need to make pre-cut holes in the table or anything like that, just simply place the legs where you want them and put the screws in. EZPZ

If the precision matters that much to you just use a ruler to measure it. Since each corner is 90 degrees you could just go 1 inch off the verticle , 1 inch off the horizontal from the corner.

You may be overthinking this a bit too much my friend. And once the tabletop is actually resting right side up, you wouldn't even notice something was off by a few millimeters.
