>>52957396
I don't have Flash.

Bwahahaha
No need for MemeBlock Origin. HOSTS blocking works just as well without demanding any resources.
>>52957457
ublock does more than just adblocking, it can block 3rd party scripts and remote fonts as well.
>>52957457
>muh hosts files
Okay luddite.
>>52957396
My firefox only allows flash on places like /f/ and swfchan and nowhere else
>>52957476
So can NoScript, which I have installed. NS doesn't consume a considerable amount of memory on its own. Paired with HOSTS blocking, we're talking Fort Knox security that even a toaster oven can manage.
>>52957457
>Hosts file
You are a fucking retard if you use hosts files to block ads in 2016
That shit isnt compatible with wildcards, misses a lot of ads and updates slowly.
Plus you get cosmetic filters and the chance to block scripts on adblockers.
>>52957613
>isnt compatible with wildcards
Not a concern. The range of IPs is sufficient to block ads on every page I've come across.
>misses a lot of ads
Zero in my 10+ years of persistently using it over AdBlock.
>scripts
NoScript
>You are a fucking retard
No, you're just grossly misinformed.
Anything else I should get?
>>52957932
>lastpass
You should uninstall it and change to keepass
vV7Q7Y4b8Rh2L1Hcgq
>>52957949
I have Keepass as a backup for my passwords. Lastpass is convenient and just werks
Are these Chrome extensions? I need to learn more about computers..
>>52957932
>youtubehd
>download youtube
just learn how to use youtube-dl and mpv properly
>lastpass
keepassx>lastpass
>morning coffee
just make a folder with bookmarks that open automatically, no need for a plugin.
get https-everywhere and "open with"
>>52958026
>keeping your passwords on someone else's computer
>>52958065
https everywere broke a lot of websites for me so I quit using it
>>52958067
As long as the container is encrypted what's the difference?
open with is used for mpv
>>52958106
>https everywere broke a lot of websites for me so I quit using it
which ones? it never broke anything for me
>As long as the container is encrypted what's the difference?
the encryption and how long it lasts
>>52957932
>Lastpass
Botnet meme aside, they have had multiple security leaks in the past, you may as well look for an alternative.
>Youtube High Definition
Why not just create an account and configure video quality on settings?
>Download videos as MP4
Im with the other anon, learn to use Youtube-dl, or just use a 3rd party website to download videos.
>>52958106
They have the password to the encryption. It wouldn't be hard to find the password in the database
>>52958153
I don't watch youtube while logged in because I don't want to deal with the shitty recommended videos and them knowing what I watched
>>52958156
To my knowledge they don't have access to the master password?
>>52958110
>open with is used for mpv
Why not just use "open with mpv" then?
Also, id recommend Violent Monkey over greasemonkey, since it uses less resources.
>>52958198
My god
>>52958050
OP is using Firefox
>>52957251 and >>52957353 are Chrome
>>52957997 is Opera
I feel like theres things I'm missing but I'm not sure what
>>52957613
using a host file is the best way to do it... no nonsense and I have never had a problem with it.
>>52958185
>open with mpv
i don't find anything, can you post a link?
I'll look into violentmonkey, thanks
This is my current list, was 70 addons last year.
>>52957932
a job
>>52958106
>As long as the container is encrypted what's the difference?
When the container grows you are basically compromising the security since the host can keep every revision of your database and use it to brute force the container.

Wrong
Where're muh vim bros at?
this is seamonkey
>>52957932
Why not set a list of homepages to load on startup like so?
why does ublock sometimes not block 4chan banners? never had that problem with adblock.
>>52958422
If by "sometimes" you mean the first time you open your browser, then its normal.
If it randomly happens then no idea, which lists are you using?
>>52958422
4chan banners are not ads, they are part of the site.
>>52958378
I have my browser set to start up where I left off. I load up news sites, work sites and others every morning
>>52958442
i meant the actual banners on ads.
>>52958459
i realize that, but i added s.4cdn.org/image/title/*.png to my list and it still lets the banners through on occasion.
also, as i type this i realized it's probably because some of the banners are jpegs. i'll see if i'll still keep getting them now.
