But between this two I would go with google if you have a gmail account.

Google docs/sheets is best the best choice for collaboration, however if you use excel for advanced stuff you might be lacking some functions in Google Sheets.

I also find Google to be easier to use with smartphones/tables.

My school folder is backed on both Google Drive and Office 365.
