So how much do you pay for internet and mobile data, /g/? What are you getting out of it?
I live in a third world shithole so internet speed is atrocious. Pic related is my home WiFi speed, it is that bad.
I pay equivalent of $6 a month for it so not complaining much.
Also pay another $6 monthly for my 4G mobile hotspot (if you can call. 10Mbps "4G") , both unlimited bandwidth of course.
Lastly $4 to the mobile telco Jew for 4GB of data.
>>52589180
What shithole country is this?
£20
One Plan, basically unlimited 4g and plenty of minutes and texts
Mine is 110kb/s downloading, so yeah, always think that you could be worse

Third worlder socialist scum country Venezuela
$60 + mobile hotspot ($10-20) a month to boost mobile
I get unlimited high speed lte for the entire month (phone only) and speeds float around 20-30 mbps most of the time.
I live in the US where some companies like verizon charge you $60 a month to use 3GB of high speed lte for a month and then reduce it to 128kbps until the next month so I'm doing pretty well I guess.
>>52589328
>$60 for 3GB then back to 128Kbps
>Americucks
And yet people still fall for it when they get the "0$ iPhone!" meme.
Does Boost Mobile throttle P2P/ Video?
>>52589418
They don't, actually. Which is kinda weird since everyone else seems to be doing it. 480p videos on my phone load in seconds and I rarely experience buffering. p2p networks aren't throttled either but I wouldn't torrent stuff without a VPN.
$20 for 1Mbps(~130KB/s)
India
Other states have cheap fiber for $20 10Mbps but not in the fucking capital of our country
>>52589271
I live in usa and get the same speed for 60 a month. Please kill me
>>52590292
I feel your pain brother
>>52590326
>>52590292
How is it possible in 2016 to get literally third world internet speeds in the USA? Rural area?
>>52589180
free tier google fiber.
5 mbps down $0/month
>feelsgoodman
1.5 Mbps for US$ 40 Here in Argentina. Theres 10 - 50 Mbps optic fiber connections here too, but only in big cities
$60 a month, 6GBps, I want to fucking die, not even a stable 6 most of the time.
>>52590435
Do you mean 6 Mbps or you are just baiting?
10mb/s for 10$ in Poland and it is expensive because i live in shithole , normally for 10$ you have 100mb/s
Had 30 Mbps @ $25 a few months ago.
Now have 75Mbps @ $40 included with basic cable.
$30 USD/mo, 1000/500 Mbps down/up
In terms of mobile data, $30 USD/mo too for 3GB + calls and texts
85/10
I pay about $76. Fucking america.
Paying $110 a month for 1TB with free Netflix streaming, 100Mb downand 40Mb up
>>52589180
>Call Comast
>Ask to cancel Cable TV since we dont even use it
>They offer to triple our internet speeds if we dont cancel it AND to cut our monthly bill in half for half a year then we keep the internet and pay what we pay now ($55/mo)
>Mfw
>>52591103
Is that a fiber connection?
>>52590415
What is google fiber?
>>52591130
No its not fiber. Standard cable tv connection. I live near Chicago so its good for the area I live in.
>>52589180
I pay 90 bucks a month for 60 down and 5 up and honestly it fulfills my needs but I do live in Canada which means they can set prices high since they have a much lower ARPU but want to make a certain profit target per year and they can give us less because there's no precedence to give us more since there's no real competition.
Basically it's Telus vs Shaw for home internet, phone and TV services. Cellular is Telus/Bell/Rogers and their respective subsidiaries Koodo/Virgin/Fido.
They all just meet in closed room meetings and agree to similar plan structures anyways, so really it's a monopoly style market.
>>52591169
This is my test of speed.
$60 a month unlimited data. Just use the hotspot function on my phone for Internet at home. Works as well as it did when I had cable.
15/1
AT&T plans to bring Gigapower to my area by the end of this year.
Hopefully it's amazing. Anybody have experience with them?
i pay 3.99€ monthly for 1GB internet traffic up to LTE, 50minutes of calling and 50 sms aswell..
it's just perfect for my needs even though it's not the best network but i'm mostly in my town anyways which is covered throughout with lte

>>52591517
How can you live with 1GB of mobile data per month?
Not too bad, I pay €50 for internet, television and phone in the Netherlands.
Unlimited 4g data, speed is limited to 50Mbps, for 14.99€. For 5 eurodollars more I could get unlimited texts and calls but I don't even remember when is the last time that would have saved me money so I don't have it.
And at home I've got 100/100 fiber for 25€.
>>52589180
12 euros in month 250 mb/s
need to upgrade my lan card, it holds just 100mb/s
for 9 euros you can have digital tv, land linde phone and internet with speed more then 700mb/s, but that's another company.
>>52592129
Simple, never leave the basement.
>>52592129
i don't stream music/have 64gb onboard storage
i rarely watch youtube videos
i mostly type whatsapp messages or casually browse technology newssites for half an hour per day or look up the next bus ride.
and mostly end up using just a half of the volume
I live in a student dorm, so the university is my ISP. Symmetric 10 Mbps and 160GB data cap, but at least it's only 5 eurobucks a month. Would gladly pay more if it meant I didn't have to always leave the house to torrent on eduroam.
Australia here. $70 a month with 500GB cap, fucking Telstra giving me such shit uploads. My last connection was just 6mbps so I guess I can't complain too much.
paying around 15$
41.3 usd for this
no data caps
>>52589180
I live in a first world country and pay $125 for HughesNet's 15 down 8 up package that has a 70 GB data cap. Hopefully cable will spread to my area and save me from this nothing I've become.
>>52589180
39 PLN/9.4USD/4 hours of work with minimal wage.
It's a symmetrical link, 300/300 Mbps. I'd say it's pretty sweet.
>>52592677
It's the upload speeds in Aus that kill me. Fucking sucks being a content creator in Australia.
$40/m
Minnesota
>>52589180
Why the fuck are you complaining? I have EXACTLY THE SAME SPEED and I pay 20$ a month for it! Hah! My 3rd world shithole wins!
>>52592318
What euro country? I only know Romanians get that much speed for such a lot amount of money.
>>52589990
Do you poo in the loo?
>>52589328
>I live in the US where some companies like verizon charge you $60 a month to use 3GB

ATT tech here. You must be at an incredibly high distance from the DSLAM/Central Office . Call and ask if you can be moved to one that is nearer. It'll be a bit of a pain, but well worth it.
>>52591387
once again, ATT tech here . the 1Gbps Gigapower package is a meme. You rarely get anything above 500 Mbps most times. Go for the 300 package. It's the most reliable of the lot.
I pay 3,99€/month for
* 50Gb of LTE (throttled then, no overcharge)
* Unlimited texts, MMS and calls to virtually anywhere in the world
* Roaming in major countries is also included and free
I'm getting about 35mbps down where I live since the place I live in is a somewhate shitty, but easily reach 80mbps on my chinese phone when moving closer to the city.
Shitty monopolistic ISPs and a "we're number one and don't need to change" mentality generally holding back basic societal progress.
>>52598089
Pretty much every single cable ISP has upgraded to Docsis 3.0 and some are doing 3.1 meaning gigabit speeds over cable.
tl;dr you don't know what you're talking about.
Americuck
Verizon ~$23 per month 2gb lte
Hungary
Diginet
~$17/month
$140 a month for 3 HD boxes, whole home DVR, and what's supposed to be 300 down 20 up.

>>52590377
I live in the everglades.
$99/mo for 50/50 Mbps internet and a low-tier television package (Verizon Fios)
$50/mo for unlimited talk/text, 5GB of 4G data, then unlimited 2G data (Straight Talk).
Not great but better than some people I know.
