Hey /g/
So I decided to root my Z3 Compact but it got stuck in a bootloop while flashing a older firmware.
So my question is if anybody knows how to hard reset the device without turning it on.
Bear in mind the Z3 doesnt have a recovery mode or if it has I am too autistic to find it.
Also I tried using the Xperia companion but all that did was flash it to the latest firmware.
Connect to USB
Keep Power+VolUp pressed (hard reboot)
Press VolUp until blue LED lights up
The device is now in fastboot mode and can be flashed
>He didn't follow instructions from XDA.
Fucking pleb.

I'll try that, thanks.

Well I pretty much tried it before, so if anyone has a another viable hard reset way let me know please.

it's a great thing you bought a sony.
the thing can't be bricked.
get the flashtool or something.

I have the flashtool but it bootlooped after I flashed. I think its because alot of the stuff only works with the current version and I downgraded back to android 4.4

still possible on 4.4 try older tool

I'll try when I get home.
Toss it and buy a new one
Like others said, just get it in Fastboot mode and you're golden.
On my old Xperia I just had to shut down the phone and connect it while holding the back button pressed, but then again it had physical buttons so on newer devices it's probably going to be the volume key or something.

Bumping because I have a z3 dual and this is relevant to my interests, 3 gb ram isn't enough when there's literally this much bloat but I wanna know how successful people are with this

>3gb ram isn't enough
jesus christ how bad is Android these days?
