I want to build something that I can put on my portfolio that says "I know what I'm doing".
What do you have on yours that you have made independent from university etc?
I've been building a back-end API in Java EE for a Snapchat clone app that I plan to build in Windows Mobile 10 but I don't know if that is "impressive" enough.
Any ideas?

This shit must fucking die, do something cool or even the same thing with C/Assembly, this will impress lots of companies, plus indians can't Assembly. Come on they probably can't even C++.

>back-end in assembly
I want to believe.
Is there any example out there of working back-end software in assembly?
>>52388065
Assembly is Turing-complete, therefore it's possible.
>>52388093
I'm not asking if it is possible. I'm asking if it has been done before.

Does this matter? Nobody needs more code monkeys, get your shit together and make something unique, or you better start looking for a job at burger king right now.
