1.) screen size
2.) battery life
3.) brand
4.) processor
5.) display resolution (because everything in budget is 1366x768 good luck finding a better resolution for more than what is considered budget maybe <$400)
6.) GPU
7.) RAM
8.) Storage

Are the ones with an additional graphics card worth it? Or are the integrated ones sufficient

(Nvidia GeForce GT820M 2GB DDR3)
(AMD Radeon R5 M330 2GB DDR3 VGA)
>>
If it is a stolen or "broken" (easily fixed) macbook being sold for a fraction of its actual resale value

Flip that shit nigga, buy a good desktop
>>
1) Battery life
2) Aspect Ratio
3) Processor
4) GPU
5) Additional features (ports, webcam, mic)
6) Brand
Lower than low) Storage and RAM (if you can't replace them it's trash)
Ready for the apocalypse) Battery is composed of standard, replaceable cells instead of proprietary form factor, CPU is socketed
>>
For me it's just performance.

Can someone answer this please? I just wanna know If I should get one with an additional graphics card or use the same money to get something with an i5 processor
>>
>>52378591
discrete graphics cards are really annoying to set up, especially "switchable" graphics, which only work with a manufacturer-distributed driver, and that driver will never receive updates after launch.
Not to mention, anything but integrated graphics will kill your battery life.
Just spring for a better processor,
If you need heavy graphics, get a desktop instead.

if it's a thinkpad or not.

Apple logo.
>>
I don't even care about graphics acceleration, just give me a poo2loo display processor, performance and a good screen is enough
>>
Overall wear and tear. You might be sticking with it for a while so don't get one that physically is busted even if it's still functional internally.
>>
Here are my final selections. I was just looking for a comparison between an integrated card and an additional one and whether or not the extra one is worth the extra money

1. It wasn't used by a girl.
This sounds like sexism but the truth is that girls treat their laptops like shit.
2. It wasn't used by a boy.
This sounds like sexism but the truth is that boys treat their laptops like shit.

Buy used business laptops, they're not used very much and were high quality when they were new.
Consumer tier laptops are ass and if you can't personally inspect it you shouldn't bother.

Factors ordered by importance:
Screen quality
Battery life
Keyboard/trackpad quality
Weight/thickness
Storage/RAM if non-upgradable

These things do not matter
CPU
GPU (actually this does matter, you want something that DOESN'T have a Nvvidia/AMD card, anything Intel will be fine)
Touchscreen

>15.6" Screen
>1366 x 768

The screen will look like shit and the space will be cramped.

Either go down in screen size, or up in screen resolution.

Ditch the idea of using dedicated graphics cards.
And instead find one with a intel iGPU, since this will improve the batterylife by alot.
