Old 2008 netbooks with Linux are good for that. If you want something new, just ASUS T100, etc... Seems to be nice.

I need a small computer to use for reports / spreadsheets / net browsing / movie watching and downloading, and also in the future when I have more money, using to remote control a bigger rig when away from home.

I'd prefer to run windows because I am a pleb.
