Depends on what you mod, and how you mod. For example, you can enforce drinking animation for potions (so if you use it mid-combat you're totally fucked) and balance the numbers and durations and bam, potions are not overpowered anymore. Then a couple hundred other gameplay nodifications, and your Skyrim is almost not bad at all.

I played Skyrim as a sneaky archer, which is kind of broken, and then played a smithing/heavy armor/2hand character and ruined the game by powerleveling my crafting skills and getting rekt by every enemy until I farmed enough random encounters to get my combat skills up to par and then gave up because I could make loot better than I could find and that's my story about why I never finished Skyrim

You're right actually, undead are immune to poisons. Sneak attack, no. With glass daggers, 4/5 armsman and the sneak dagger perk, you literally will one shot dragon priests with a power attack.

Obviously that won't work when you're up against things you can't sneak on, which is where I find the 'balance' in the build.

Acrobatics + paintbrush glitch was the best. I played it as a ridiculous parkour simulator, jumping and climbing every building possible. Also you could jump onto a roof and from there get onto the walls in some cities, and with a high stealth you could murder guards indefinitely as they kept spawning. A+ video game.

it's an addon called hide caption titlebar plus. the un-maximized window setting will hide the tab bar, and I use Hide Navigation Bar to hide that. I just use alfred to enter URL's, but sometimes I gotta hit F2 to get the nav bar back to copy links.

Dude, it's not the mechanics that make Skyrim a shitty game, it's the content. Skyrim has shitty boring content and shitty boring structure.

Morrowind modding was so great because people were actually adding content to the game in large volume, and a lot of that content was as good or even better than the stuff in the vanilla game.

It's both. The storyline was horrible, dragonborn, nords, the stormcloak storyline was stupid edgy teenager bullshit and the imperial one was boring. The companions guild was ruined by horrible werewolf drama, the dark brotherhood practically falls apart and ends in a fucking ice cave, all you get is the same god damn horse from oblivion. The thieves guild was decent, but still had religious bullshit and internal drama mixed with a billion RNG quests just to restore order and get richer fences. Besides, stealing/lockpicking is stupidly easy in skyrim too.

Combined with the broken gameplay and lack of good DLC (vampires, really), the whole game is eyecandy for mods at best.

Something went wrong and the Chakra liveusb is not working. It explained me how to run it, but using the given command returns "no such file or directory". Guess I'll stick with openSUSE, which is at least working.
