I know that. I still use incognito mode when I don't want them advertising to me based on what I am searching for in a window. Like I just had to do a statistics project where I looked up listings of 50 cars of the same make and model from all over the internet, and I havent been getting any car/insurance ads during my regular browsing because I did all that shit in an incognito window

I used Private Browsing to download a bunch of confidential documents while I was doing an internship at NSA and they haven't noticed a thing.

I'm sure this has already been said, but for me there is no expectation to "not be tracked" in incognito mode. I see it as purely operating on the user side of the computer, not saving cookies, data, browsing history or anything else to your local computer. That is it.
As far as what gets saved or monitored on the other side, who the fuck knows really. I don't expect icognito to stop any of that, so to complain that it doesn't is stupid.
