I always wondered how really is the life of a hacker. For starters, all hackers have a day job, or can you be skilled enough to create some money? How much work you have to put in a hard hack, like weeks or months? How the work itself goes? By trial and error? with downtimes, like 'fuck it, today I do something else to let my brain steam down'? And then, how much you know other hackers, working in team is normal? Mb you even go live togheder like a pro vg team? And a hacker goes to countries where is less to be found/inprisoned?
There is so much misticism around hackers, they are seen like wizards, it's fun but the 'magic' I know is really only hard work, where can I get some info on the matter?

"hackers" aren't what you think they are. and computers aren't some magical devices you can use an axe to hack through like jack nicholson.

>a thread died because of your shitpost

>>
OP here

>"hackers" aren't what you think they are. and computers aren't some magical devices you can use an axe to hack through like jack nicholson.

Hacking culture is sort of dead these days. Everyone is out to scam you out of your money.
>>
>>51531482
Have you ever considered that your flaming and blatent disregard of the OP's subject matter / question is the exact shitpost that you rant against? Why not consider instead stimulating a discussion or try to steer the topic into a more directed one? This kind of posting is infinitely less thought provoking or meaningful than any ignorant question that OP decided to ask in the first place.
>>
>>51531370
>all hackers have a day job
Yeah well most are in tech
I know guys that are teachers, web designers, doctoral researchers
These do research on their own
Then you have the consultants who work for companies like EY or mrw security, they're in it for the money though
>>
>>51531370

In the end, thanks for every reply, even the flames that keep the thread open for so long. Most of the time I open a thread is mostly ignored and closed after 2-3 post, so this is a great success
>>

Honestly, you'd have more luck going to /sci/ and asking them. None of these people know shit, and if there actually is a math or comp sci major lurking this thread and not contributing, he or she is a real stuck up piece of shit.
>>
>>51536093
>fucking implying math
that's crypto you know
even low level binary exploitation aka i know control your entire infrastructure by you visiting my web page in google chrome requires only entry-level understanding of math

>>51536121
keyboard warrior is a nice name, so hacking interest someone.

>>51536132
well in tv we see hackers only breaking firewalls, stole data, remote control your pc and put some funny img in it. I know that the real deal is different, that there is more. For ex, i read once here that an anon was hacked and his pc played a funny song in a endless loop.

I have you beaten in a game of mental chess, now give me your secrets

Well I need info but I wont force anyone to give, just put me in the right direction

i don't care that you beat me or if it was a "game" because people genuinely think your statement is correct
