Galaxy s is way old now. Almost none of the play apps work anymore and the phone will run out of internal memory.

Also its extremely sluggish and the battery is shit.

I use the lg g2 and its perfect for me. The hardware specs are pretty damn good. The battery isn't the greatest but its 3000 mah so it will last all day.

My lumia 640lte cost me $40 brand new, had the best battery life of any smart phone I've ever used and was pretty much indestructible. I don't think I'd ever buy a "flagship" Windows phone but they are massacreing the low budget Android market right now in quality.
