Lurking for interest.
My marantz PM94 almost has its last part to complete the restore, so no more optical input.
I'd prefer both optical and RCA inputs for versatility.

i've loved the shit out of this since release but the usb cable has gotten fiddly.

I have that one OP. It's pretty good but there's a couple design issues:

The light is fucking bright and you cant disable it
The USB port is shallow so the plug only fits about halfway, which makes it easy to disconnect by accident

The main selling point of the FiiO is the headphone amplifier, which is something I don't think you need.

UCA202 is fine and is around $30 I believe.

actually when you have a decent sound system you can hear the difference between the youtube audio quality and flacs.

regular speakers won't let you hear tho.

but it's not even expensive if you know where to and what to look.

I have the komplete audio 6 and it works great.
it has decent inputs and outputs for my needs. it's been more than 6 months since I got them, no complaints so far.

Also using this one. Have it for 3 months now. Needed one to connect my AT2020 with, and being able to connect my AKG k550 was pretty sweet.

There aren't anymore good DACs, the last one is kill. You could ask Luke what happened to him, but he doesn't like to talk about it. :^)
