Honestly, before I got into building PCs, I wondered the same thing, although I wasn't stupid enough to leave a 1 star review about it.

Being accustomed to just buying a PC off the shelf since I was a kid, I questioned why there was a market for just a computer case, and why anyone would get one, when you could just get a fully assembled PC.

I mean, it's not like car dealerships sell empty cars with no engine, transmission, exhaust, etc. Why would a market for a car that doesn't function exist?

Given that I've known about PC building for 8 years now, it seems like a stupid question, but I think I was that naive at one point.
