So is this phone actually as durable as advertised?

I do construction work and destroyed 3 phones in the last 2 years.
So now im thinking of buying a CAT S40, but i am not sure if it's actually good.

I dont need a super fast phone, if it can run whatsapp without lag im happy.
But it has to be durable, i cant buy another smartphone which i destroy within weeks.

Anyone here who has some knowledge on these CAT phones? is it any good?
>>
Yes it's good. You can use this phone instead of hammer and will be fine.

is this sarcasm?

Nope, one time I got stuck in a elevator shaft at the bottom and heard the elevator coming down, it would have squished me but I took my CAT phone and stuck it vertically in the air while I layed on the floor, the phone successfully stopped the elevator from crushing me.

True story.

I drop them,

I dropped my nokia lumia yesterday and it caught on fire.
before that i had an iphone,it was in my pocket and i walked into a table and destroyed the glass and screen.

This. You should focus more on a zippered phone pouch attached to your belt, and not using your phone at stupid times.

Can't get more rugged than a brick.

This thing survives handgun fire.

Damn OP. You are better off buying cheap chinkphones to compensate for the expenses towards replacement chinkphones, because you'd have broken the previous chinkphone by then.

I've dropped my xiaomi a few times and she seems to be doing fine.

Just get one of those hard covers.

Nokia's back to making brick phones again, and the 208 is as durable as a rock and really uses its battery efficiently. It's marketed for European markets, but this model (and some others) will work on US networks, because of its 3.5G. I had one, and it worked quite well. Accidentally dropped it down a flight of stairs and the screen wasn't even broken. It was the washing machine that eventually did it in, but it served me well, and will serve you well too if you don't forget to take it out of your jeans.
