I understand /g/ isn't my own personal tech support but I am seriously pulling my hair out over this.
'I'm trying to install Windows 7 on my laptop via bootable USB(3.0 port, 3.0 flash drive). It doesn't have an optical drive, I removed it in favor of a hdd.
Anyway once I boot into the installer I get an error saying that I'm missing a CD/DVD/USB driver. All the searching I've done says that it is because I am using a USB 3.0 port. I do not have the option to use a 2.0 port. I have tried all the suggestions I've read to no avail.
If I were to use a USB DVD drive do you think I would get the same error, even if it is only 2.0? Are there any other alternatives to installation?

Windows has no drivers. No, that really is the problem.
From what I gathered from your post you found out the issue... What the fuck is wrong with you

In your bios, you should be able legacy mode for usb ports and/or disable usb 3 to make them operate as usb 2.

On an average night, how many pizzas that go out for delivery have been jizzed on before they get put in the box? Is giving a good tip to the delivery driver a good way to avoid jizz on future orders?

I had an identical problem with my laptop. Ended up taking the HDD out and putting it in another computer to install it. Make sure to get USB and internet drivers downloaded before you put it back in your laptop
