I want a smartphone to take a picture and check my email while I'm on the go. What is the best poorfag smartphone for these simple tasks? Battery life and non-shit software are really what I care about.

I don't want to touch someone elses fap machine that they dropped in the toilet three times.

literally just for pictures(with poor quality) and emails? try business nokias like e52 or e71, or old blackberries
i mean, emails are something that's way better with a proper keyboard
not so literally? give exact budget. It may be Motorola E if you just want to do cheapest-but-alright.

I want something that is durable and has a good battery life(lasts more than one day). I want to be able to check my email and look something up online if I need to. I don't give a fuck about all of the dumb apps and am only getting it because of uni. It'd be convenient to have a decent camera, too. I don't plan on being glued to my phone and will probably only look at it for anything other than calls and texts only several times in the entire day, so I'm not going to be a "power user".
cherries on top
>removable battery
>microSD
these aren't a big deal but it'd just an extra.
I'd pay $200 at the most. I also absolutely do not want to fuck with ROMs and shit unless it's absolutely necessary.

Maybe you can get BB Q10 somewhere near this price. Removable battery, microsd, smooth as a butter, best interface/user experience i've seen in mobile phones so far, qwerty, priority on communication typical for every Berry, it really fits.
If you can't find one for $200, consider Q5 - uglier, without removable battery, but still with BBOS10 which is (i think) best choice for you.
I recently took this photo with BB Q10 - i think it's nice photo that shows quality very well. Camera is shit in low-light situations, but on the other hand - every generic phone camera is terrible at low light.

sweet jesus why is this picture scaled to 6000x6000
i don't know why it happened
anyway, i forgot one thing: if you don't give a fuck about qwerty (i think it's a huge mistake if you want emails/proper communication but well, i love hardware keyboards) consider lumia 1020. Its camera is famous, and i think even windows phone is capable of managing emails properly.
