What file manager do you use?
Urxvt
Finder.app
explorer on windows, thunar on loonix
>>47583176
thats not a file manager
Thunar
>>47583286
It can run a shell wich can be used as a file manager.
ranger on linux, explorer with qttabbar on windows for tabbed browsing.
>>47583160
Explorer on Windows
Amaze on Android
FAR Manager and ConEmu, one of the most useful duos I've ever found on Windows
I don't think anything on Linux can quite compare to FAR
thunar
>>47583319
besides the kernel, nearly everything runs in a shell dumbass
>>47583160
PCManFM
>>47583160
Konqueror.
Yes, I'm the one.
If you know anything similar (powerful and customizeable, "details view" focused since I rarely need thumbnails), please suggest something.
Ranger.
And just the $ls command.
Pantheon Files.
I'm straight.
I had Clover or some hokey Chinese shit on my windows 7 install, but I'm running plain Explorer now, what's good for 8.1?
Explorer on windows
Tried Explorer++ and it was nice, but it's dead and unstable. (So dead there haven't even been any nightly builds since last may.)
>Windows
total commander
>linux
double commander
really love life filtering
Caja
Thunar. But really lacking features.
>>47583160
muCommander

also, explorer on Windows, nautilus on linux(gnu/linux for autists)
>>47583160
Windows Explorer. :^)
explorer.exe
why wouldn't you use Windows Explorer?
Dolphin.
Nautilus.
The "connect to server" is really nice.
>>47583160
I use Firefox.
Just press Ctrl+O, navigate to the file you want, and press Open.
Firefox then chooses the correct application.
cd, cp, exo-open, mv, rm
>>47583319
IBM ThinkPad is my file manager :^)
>>47583857
On windows at least, firefox delegates file managing tasks like ctrl-o to Explorer - so whatever firefox does is Explorer behavior
>>47583160
A file cabinet.
thunar
sometimes pcmanfm
explorer.exe on windows
>>47583160
thunar mustard race reporting in
>>47583160
Everything.exe
>>47583947
Isn't that what it should do? I mean, typing the filename in cmd.exe will probably do the same.
>>47583458
I've never had a problem with PCManFM. Nemo is also excellent IMO.
ranger + core-utils
Explorer on windows, ranger on linux
>>47583217
>explorer
>not Clover
"but my tabs...."
PCmanFM
Thunar randomly closes when I right click on it occasionally.
Windows Explorer
>>47583160
Set-location, get-childitem
>>47584899
>pedo pls go
>>47584922
this happens to me too sometimes
Google reads what I've typed and gives a word similar to one in the text in the captcha
Thunar, but i think it's shit and will probably change to some other.
>>47583160
Explorer
It works (:
caja, bash, spacefm on loonix
total commander on windows/androshit
>>47584877
>Clover
No thanks, I'll keep using QTTabBar because it does more than just add tabs.
>>47584922
Fucking lol. Topped kek
CubicExplorer
Dolphin
>>47583160
spacefm
>>47584877
It's still explorer, Explorer/Clover to be exact.
>>47583458
It's just rock solid on every WM or DE I've used it on. Plus the desktop management isn't awful.
Just downloaded QTTabBar in replace of nexusfile manager.
How do you set dual panel view in one window?
>>47583804
this
Gentoo

>>47583728
>muCommander
Wow, I thought this was exactly what I was looking for in a windows file manager, but no fucking thumbnail view? God dammit I've tried at least a dozen file managers for Windows now and they all have some kind of drawback for me.
>>47586087
Have you tired not being such a colossal autist?
>>47584960
if thats true then thats fucked. Google could then link your posts to your google accounts
Nautilus, pantheon, explorer or finder depending on what OS im using. I use all 4 regularly.
On Windows I use XYplorer.
On linux I use midnight commander.
>>47586119
>wanting thumbnail views in 2015 is autistic
Is it so wrong to want a file manager that doesn't look like ass and does everything I need? Best I've tried is Total Commander but it has some odd bug for me where thumbnails flicker.
>>47583623
Holy shit using double commander rn and this is powerful as fuck, thanks m8
