Why don't you poorfags buy the dell 2007fp?

>VA panel
>$50-$60 on amazon
>decent resolution
>dvi input
>>
>Why don't you poorfags buy the dell 2007fp?

>you poorfags
>poorfags

There's your answer.
>>
>$50
>unaffordable

It's either this or a shitty tn
>>
>>45422653
>Why
because 4:3
>>
>>45422653
I want to buy 2 1600x1200 IPS monitors to match a U3007
IIRC some of the 2007's are different panel types
How do I tell what panel type they are?
>>
>>45423184
All the more reason to buy one.
>>
Shit nigger gimme the link
>>
Because I could get a CRT that does 1600x1200 at 85hz for free on craigslist.
>>
>>45422653
I swear to god g is like shop addicted insecure bitches. Don't you guys know anything other than buying stuff ? Fucking faggots all of you.
>>
Is there a way to convert a monitor to a tv with antenna? Some kind of antenna adapter maybe?
>>
>>45423200
http://www.amazon.com/MONITOR-2007FPB-BLACK-REGULAR-STAND/dp/B000UVDONY
>>
Because I have a 2008WFP.
>>
>>45423193
Turn it on, enter service menu.

90% of them are LG IPS though...
>>
>>45423647
I meant, before I buy them.
Should I tell the ebay sellers to do it?
>>
>>45423647
do their panels match the panels of 2560x1600 ultrasharps?
>>
>>45423361
>Americans are so fucking stupid they cant' even answer this basic question.

For fucks sakes guys, could you be any more plebian.
>>
>>45423693
Yes, they match resolution wise and physical height too if you plan to go PLP. That's what I'm working on. I already have one 2007fp and U3014 comes in this week. Finding a 2nd one in perfect condition will require patience. I found my first one for $40 CDN.

Because I'm using dual Dell e176fp's. Gonna upgrade within the next year to some Korean monitors

>>45423776
If you wanted a short answer, yes, its possible.

Long answer would be no, that's a fucking stupid proposition. You would need a tv tuner connected to cable or your antenna. For the price of buying a cheap, tiny monitor and a tv tuner, you could just buy a small 30" TV.
>>
don't got room on my desk
>>
>>45422653
Are these the monitors that are in every school and uni known to man?
They've probably got the manufacturing and production down so much they probably cost like 5 dollars to make now
>>
>>45424461
No these are far better
>>
>>45424390
Relax, nigger. Maybe he has the monitor already, you don't know what his use case is.

>>45423361
But yes, to answer your question, if you had a PC and a monitor already (or were planning on buying them anyway) then there are lots of inexpensive tuner cards. When you start talking about what you will be able to tune, it starts getting more complicated. But there are some advantages as well, mainly being you can roll your own DVR.
>>
>>45424461
Banks and offices mostly. There are lots out there. But they are not making them any more! Snap them up off Craigslist locally every chance you get!

I picked up two the other day, $80 for both. Later when I get the cash I will get that 30" Monoprice IPS for around $800, and be partying like a rock star.

>20 30 20 PLP master race mein niggas!

Get on mah level!
>>
>>45423200
>>45423620
You can search for FP or FPB, I'm pretty sure they are the same thing.

I read somewhere the B just meant business or something. But if anyone knows better, I'm all ears.

Better to buy local off CL though if possible.
>>
>>45426208
I'm pretty sure the B is for black. I think they actually made a silver version, but almost all of them are black whether or not they have the B in the model.
>>
>>45424390
1280x1024 and worse specs in almost every way
>>
>>45423194
4:3 is inferior for vidya and movies.

If you are a poorfag you clearly don't have a job, so widescreen is superior.
>>
>>45422653
>not buying this on ebay for $20 and free shipping
Stay pleb
>>
>>45426217
All the ones I've seen have been black fronts and silver backs / stand I think. What do you mean when you say "black?"

I have two in my trunk right now, let me go check.

I have a laptop with a single HDMI out, is it possible to use more than 1 external monitors? Also, is it possible to output differently to both HDMI and VGA on my older laptop?
>>
>>45426391
Then go up to 30" 2560x1600?
>>
>>45422653
I have a 2007FP, bought in 2006. It really isn't that great. It never was. Like all Ultrasharps, it's just babby's first non-shit display.
>>
>>45426521
A 22" CRT will do 1600p with better colour than most high end screens
>>
>>45426545
Cost no more than £5 BTW
>>
>>45426540
What's not great about it? Also, is yours VA or IPS?

I have an NEC LCD2090UXi which supposedly has the same model LG IPS panel as the IPS version of the 2007FP. The NEC of course has extra high end features (like hardware calibration) but mine looks fantastic even without calibration.
>>
>>45426521
I already have a 1440p monitor though...

The point is that I don't want to spend >$300 on a second monitor.
>>
>>45426594
>>45426545
Its like anon cant read.
>>
>>45423184
>>45423194
I bought a Dell P190s yesterday for a second monitor. I went out a looked around for a good 4:3 that can rotate. Shits cash.

>using a TN panel in portrait mode
>using a TN panel at all
shig
>>
>>45426744
>>45426819
Also 1280x1024 is 5:4, not 4:3.
>>
>>45426819
I use it for chat and filezilla or docs. I know what I bought and why.

Bitch nigger.
>>

>implying TN panels aren't terrible for any and all usages
>implying you're not just blind
>>
>>45426903
>implying most montiors arent tn. Please, continue.

cmon autist. IPS arent the best in every situation, for every purpose, for every person. Theyre good, but TNs are what 99% of people use because they have no use or dont see the advantage of IPS.
>>
because i just bought a s2440l for $100

Oh man, reflection city without the full advantages a glossy panel can give. And on a VA panel nonetheless. Nice choice, dude.

>>
>>45427244
Glossy coatings are shit period.
Glass is excellent, if there is no other light in the room at all.
>and you can always buy some AG film later, you apply it like a screen protector on a phone.
AG is best if you're not a in dark room.

I honestly prefer glass, due to the flexibility of best contrast in dark vs. film ag for light rooms.
>'edge to edge' glass doesn't count, that shit is nasty.
>>
I've heard that Hitachi's are pretty shit, so this worries me.

poorfags would not pay $50 for a 17" 4:3 when you can easy get one from free. most people have moved on to 16:10 or more likely 16:9 in a bigger size.

poorfag does not mean dumbfag.
