Best Laptop for a Producer/Musician?
>>
>>45272009
None. Get something that will play your music that you produce. Instead invest in quality tools such as midi keyboards, receivers and software.
>>
>>45272009
mac
>>
>>45272225
I need some software. I already have a midi keyboard.

>>45272243
This Mac doesn't do shit. I need a good PC laptop that can handle FL Studio, Audacity, etc.
>>
Lemote Yeelong
>>
>>45272786
any computer can handle those as long as you have a good sound interface

Bruh...
>>
>>45272861
Give me some models in particular because there are too many to choose from.
>>
Let me add that I'm currently looking at Asus', Toshibas, Lenovos are an option as well, and HPs.
>>
Retina™ Macbook Pro™
>>
>>45272896
Bro, I already have a Mac. I need PC.
>>
From one producer to another, the Macbook Pro is your best option. If OSX isn't your thing put Windows or Ganoo/Loonix on it. Alternatively you get a cheapass laptop and get a portable DAC/Amplifier and a great set of headphones.
>>
>>45272909
Lenovo Chinkpad Carbon X1 then
>>
>>45272948
I'm utilising this thread from a Macbook Pro. I need a PC because I cannot just spend $500 on Apple Logic.

I'm more basic in terms of production software. I use FL Studio.
>>
>>45272952
Cuzz, I'd like to get my shit cheap. lol

$1,000 is ridiculous, bruh.

I'm posting from an MBP too. You don't need to spend a dime, just pirate Win 7/8 and Boot Camp that shit. Just a suggestion, if you're going to produce on a laptop you're probably going to want a DAC. Pic related is what I use, it's called the Fiio Alpen-E17, it's portable.
>>
is acer still crap?
>>
>>45273090
Acer Aspire S7 is considered a really good ultrabook, and I think they made a pretty affordable gaming laptop called the Nitro Black or something like that recently. Other than that yeah, it's shit.
>>
>>45273068
Get a used Thinkpad X220 or X240
>>
>>45273114
alright thanks, I lost track of them a couple of years ago and now suddenly they are everywhere
>>
>>45273082
This is the family comp. I need a personal one. Thanks for the suggestion, though.

>>

Save up or settle for garbage.
>>
>>45273272
Tell that to my pops.
>>
>>45273281
Get an old macbook pro. Nothing better for mobile production
>>
>>45273296

>>

>>
>>45273296
I have an old MacBook Pro. That's what I'm using to type this. I need a PC for FL Studio. -_-
>>
>>45273449

>>

lmao
>wanting to use FL studio
go home noob
>>
>>45273538
pretty sure they're just trolling you now
>>
>>45273530
Apple Logic is $500, FL Studio is awfully easy to torrent and I rely on samples.

This is also for USB storage. This Mac can't read hard drives.
>>
>>45273564
Yep. I've figured. I've gotten some pretty good options so I'm going to /thread.
